Fighting WorkSafe B.C in 2009 was the year I finally WON.. It is amazing how hard I had to fight to get acceptance on all my injuries related to my fall. I spent 3 1/2 years fighting to prove I got hurt , now I am in a back to work program p/t educating SIW on the efficacy of cannabis at a local Garden store. Pacific Northwest Garden Supply.. The public needs to know how WorkSafe B.C treats SIW. WHY DO ALL INJURED WORKERS HAVE TO FIGHT ?? WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!! Jan 1, 2010 - @Downedworker Happy New Year to you 2, Yes I had to win each individual battle, 21 appeals WCAT 2 times and now I have 15 injuries related to my fall of 28 feet at WORK.. In the beginig WorkSafe B.C said I had only 5 injuires.. WOW what a differance.. how could they miss 10 major injuries ?? Why because the system is set up to crush you before they finnaly except the truth.. I got hurt at WORK !!!!! Fight WorkSafe B.C

Jan 1, 2010 - @vandra420 The really hard thing to take is that they don't seem to understand that everytime you have to go to appeals, financially you are just set back that much farther. Its great that you win the appeals, but the time and stress every one takes is devastating, both on your mental status, and your wallet. Heres to a better 2010 to all injured workers.

Jan 1, 2010 - Yes I agree, WorkSafe B.C makes you run through he hoops for years and due to overwhelming stress we had 21 seriously injured workers commit suicide between 2004-2007. Suicidal depression due to direct abuse from WorkSafe B.C is what I always said... 2010 we need to STAND UP for all injured workers and fight for all.. Fighting WorkSafe B.C is benig done by the disabled and we need help !!!!

Feb 6, 2010 - Well it has been 5 months and WorkSafe B.C has done nothing, there excuse they lost my information when changing over to new computer system.. BULLSHIT.. how can you lose our info ?? Called the Ombudsman in Victoria 1-250-387-5855 talked to Janet Hacker about WorkSafe B.C not doing anything, not even calling me back after 6 months on messages and 2 days later my case manager called me.. KICK AND SCREAM as LOUD AS YOU CAN !!

Feb 7, 2010 - In Novembeer I had a decision going back to 2005 for five months wage loss june to november, referral to Disability Awards, and consideration for vocational retraining - going back to 2005. They sent my wage loss to the employer 'under separate cover' and said I returned to work (at that time I was in their appeals process). I know of another person who hs not had appeal decisions implemented and even his lawyer can't get through to them. Time to sue the gov for not protecting us!!!!!

Feb 7, 2010 - If yu are taking OH@S to work in a company you may find yourself having to work with WCB such as doing fraudulent 'investigations' so they can deny claims. This is not 'good business practices', this is criminal behaviour and a total lack of ethics, morals,and conscience. Could test your metal*!

Apr 4, 2010 - Really glad to hear your case went in your favour, now for fight #2, getting wage loss. WCAT approved my claim, I didn't give Workscam BC a chance to lay back and collect more interest, I called them 2 days after I got my WCAT decision, and everyday after that until my CM agreed to see me. It still took 3.5 months from my WCAT decision till I received a check from Workscam BC.

Apr 12, 2010 - @bcdemon Well I think you did better then most on the waiting game after WCAT, mine 1st one took 18 months and they denied the WCAT desision, the second one different injuries took 6 months and I hade to call Victoria and raise a stink..
